When I was little I wanted to open a bakery. In my daydreams, that bakery was Bakeri. Antique wallpaper and mirrored cabinets, girls with top knots and head scarves, pies with lattice-top crusts, baguettes, fresh flowers, a quiet garden with creeping vines and a koi fish pond.

Williamsburg can be chaotic, crowded, and hot — but tucked away on a side street, Bakeri feels like a refuge.
