breakfast at julie's10/15/12
Our very last morning in Portland was spent making breakfast at Julie’s — a colorful scramble with a roasted red pepper sauce.
Julie is a natural-born hostess. Her inherent disposition puts you at ease and makes you feel at home (not to mention the parchment-paper-and-twine-wrapped loaf of pumpkin bread she sent to the airport with us).

MY goodness… What a lovely friend you have to create And host such a delightful meal.
Love these Olivia!
Oh my goodness this looks so magical. Breakfasts with friends are the best. Your instagrams and posts lately have me itching to head to the west coast! I’m glad you and Blake had a wonderful trip :)

Wow. These are gorgeous. and that food is making my mouth water. xo
Ugh your photography is perfection.
Mmm that pumpkin bread looks fantastic!
Any hostess who loads guests up with pumpkin bread is good in my books.

I love using parchment paper and twine. I actually use it to wrap my Christmas presents with. It’s something that not everything uses nowadays. It’s a simple and beautiful packaging, and really makes you look forward to whatever delicious treat (or thoughtful gift) is inside. I like how you captured the warmth of the food and of the place in these photos.
yum! how inviting. i could curl up with a good book in that kitchen. sounds like you had a wonderful trip!
oh my!

This is so ideal. Just beautiful.
