A few moments from Ashley and Ryan’s gorgeous day at Lowndes Grove. Loved celebrating with these sweet (and stunning) people. (Gorgeous florals by my gal Lily Peterson.)
Lauren and Chris got married at the William Aiken House on King Street in downtown Charleston. They giggled excitedly all day and couldn’t keep their hands off each other (it was adorable). I was moved to tears more times than I should probably admit — their picture-perfect day with supportive families, the sassiest grandma, a pink-to-white ombré cake and gorgeous florals were just lovely accompaniments to the palpable love these two share. Thanks to Melissa for shooting with me and huge thanks to L & C for letting us be a part of your day.
Brooke and Eric got married in the backyard of Eric’s childhood home on Yonges Island. It was a laid-back and full-of-love evening, planned in four weeks and focused on the things that matter. They even had a perfect pink sunset over the marsh as they made their way to the dance floor. Thanks for having us, B & E!
A beautiful Georgia-coast wedding on a steamy September day. Congrats to the sweet couple and a huge thanks for including me.

One of the best things about my job is witnessing the sweet, excited, full-of-love-and-hope couples and hearing their stories. Weddings are such an “industry” now that they can quickly become a cliché — or for someone working in the industry, just the norm. But when it comes down to it, making the decision to walk through life together is endlessly moving. Couples like Julie and Thomas remind me of this. I loved spending an evening with them, taking some casual portraits around Hampton Park (on a quilt made by Julie’s grandmother in the 1920s!) and then over a drink at the Belmont. They’ll be getting married in a small ceremony in New York next month, followed by a big party back here in Charleston. I can’t wait to celebrate with them.
