We woke up when it was dark. Freezing, we sleepily got in the car to warm up. We drove down to the beach beneath our campsite — had a breakfast of salmon candy and still-hot coffee from Blake’s thermos. I thought there would be other early-risers, trying to catch the sunrise, but we were the only ones.
