In the middle of our epic vineyard hike, we stopped at a chateau for a picnic/wine tasting in the shade. It was lovely; rustic and thrown together in the best way -- foie gras and juicy tomatoes, an absurd amount of baguette, endless tastings of wine (and then some).
Everything about it was so effortlessly charming. Priorities are just different here in France, and it shows.
P.S. Roses are abundant here. Real roses.
