What started as aimless wandering with Sarah yesterday quickly turned into the best day ever. Things we came across include but are not limited to: a little Italian restaurant in a cave, a modern art museum, countless grafittied murals, a pitcher of agua de Valencia, the prettiest balconies from an old Cathedral, and (quite possibly) the most delicious salad and pumpkin lasagna either of us have ever experienced.
While I sometimes love playing tourist, what I love even more is doing the same types of things traveling as I do at home. Things like picnicing by the river with watermelon and wine, wandering around the farmers market, and all-night sing-alongs on the beach with the sweetest locals and the most elaborate spreads of food. Sometimes, settling down from the intense touring opens your eyes enough for you to actually see.
