This weekend we bought succulents. Eight tiny succulents. We sat at our big farm table and planted them, one by one, letting the soil spill through the table and onto the floor. We placed them in the windowsill and watched them in the forefront of the afternoon storm we've grown so accustomed to.
I wake up every day happy to be here. Happy in my new home, happy to be with Blake, happy to make coffee and start the day. I'm sure the novelty of it all will wear off eventually. But for now? I'm reveling in it.
