Austin & Mary Get Married | Riverwood Mansion in Nashville, TN

I remember the first time I saw Mary on the first day of middle school in Mrs. Artman’s class. She stood in front of everyone with so much spunk and introduced herself as Mary Raccuglia, noting that her last name had two c's because her big Italian family was extra cool. (She quickly became one of my favorite people in the world.) The fact that she found a life partner as solid, passionate and special as she is was no surprise to anyone. She cried her way down the aisle (literally, the whole aisle:) and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen any two people lock eyes as intensely as they did during the ceremony.

Mary and Austin I LOVE you, and am so excited for all your beautiful adventures to come!

It was such a treat to take these engagement photos for one of my best friends in the world (since sixth grade!). Mary and Austin are both such easy-going people that we thought it would be fun to do something a little more formal for their engagement photos. We borrowed a (blue!) Claire Pettibone gown from The Dress Theory that fit Mary like a glove, put Austin in a blue suit, and headed to their wedding venue in East Nashville, Riverwood Mansion. It rained all day but it didn't matter, because the interior of the mansion is a stunner with it's patinaed walls and moody window light (there even happened to be a blue and gold wall that matched the dress!).  I just adore these two and hope I'm able to see through my happy tears to capture their wedding day in October!
