My favorite Brits came to Charleston this weekend, so I got to make them a gluttonous brunch (full of biscuits and brownies) and show them around this pretty city.  We did a full-on food and drink tour in one night (wine at Bin, Monza pizza, gingersnaps and beer ice cream sandwiches, homemade Nutella poptarts...). Ordering dessert at every place was simply a necessity. It would have been rude not to.

Sullivan's Island was also a must, as was the grand opening of the Charleston Farmers' Market. Wandering around by myself talking to all the sweet people (like my heirloom tomato man) makes me happier than just about anything. I came home with a plethora of veggies, olive oil, and ricotta lemon whole-wheat ravioli.
