my pretty friends

This weekend was a blur of giddiness and giggliness and Prosecco. I graduated!!!! It was an unbelievable, indescribable feeling. Driving around afterward, my dad was shouting out the window "college graduate in the car!" at innocent pedestrians, and I didn't even try to stop him. That is how good I felt.

I usually don't care about ceremonies, but College of Charleston's graduation ceremony is too beautiful to ignore. Caps and gowns are replaced by pretty white dresses and red roses.  The stage is surrounded by century-old oak trees in front of the college's oldest building (from the 1700s). It's pretty special.

Even though I will not miss school one bit, I teared up more than once. Even in the surrealness of the moment, it felt so monumental -- like I knew I would always remember the feeling I had that day.
