The energy in Barcelona is magical; different from anything I've ever experienced. Gaudí's influence makes the entire city feel like a beautiful/twisted/interesting/colorful sort of fairy-tale.
We saw cathedrals, Gaudí's early works, charming cafes, and too many views of Barcelona to count (this being the first). We ate paella and more paella. We took a cable car to the top of Montjuic, we went to the Museum of Chocolate, and we drank sangria de cava (my favorite) over three hour lunches.
The fact that I was able to share all of this with my sweet family only made it that much better. I can't even count the number of times Nan Nan did her happy-jig.
